General Purpose: Manage multi-state Workers Compensation (WC) claims by maintaining efficiencies in the processing,tracking, reporting, sharing and updating of workers compensation information within the WC claims databaseand with insurance carriers/TPA throughout the entire process. Provide Superior Customer Service in all aspects of the job. Essential Functions: Heavy data entry of work-related claims and/or conservative treatment information into WC application and conservative database . Maintain flow of information regarding claims to perspective insurance carriers or TPA, as well as, working with adjusters for transfer of information as directed by Director of Safety & Risk Following up and obtain accident investigation information and witness statements in order to establish the validity of claims Keep all claims current and regardless if work related or not), catastrophic or serious injuries to Director of Safety & Risk Management as soon as possible Assist with closure of claims to maintain accurate open claims count Complete other assignments as assigned by supervisor in an accurate and timely manner Desired Skills & Experience: High school diploma or GED Background in medical field, Workers Compensation Adjuster, Employer side experience in Claims Management preferred. Ability to work independently and as a part of a team with multiple priorities in fast paced environment. Detail oriented, organized, and able to prioritize responsibilities. Able to effectively communicate with all levels of company personnel and with outside contacts. Able to demonstrate a working knowledge of multi-state compensation and OSHA requirements.
