WORK SCHEDULE FOR A TAX SERVICES INTAKE - CUSTOMER SERVICE REP The part-time position works during the day . YOUR ROLE AS A TAX SERVICES INTAKE - CUSTOMER SERVICE REP As a Tax Services Intake - Customer Service Rep at our nonprofit, you are the first point of contact for our clients. When speaking with clients either in person or over video conferencing, you ensure a positive experience by maintaining confidentiality, providing all necessary forms, and assisting in completing the forms accurately. You confirm appointments, let clients know what documentation they will need, greet them warmly, verify identification, and ensure they meet our eligibility requirements. You help keep everything organized by adding documents in Dropbox and assigning tax returns to the appropriate tax preparer based on their certification level. You make sure our in-person tax site is stocked with supplies and complies with all IRS and host requirements. You also check that IRS posters and materials are visible. You feel great knowing that you are an integral part of our tax team! REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS TAX SERVICES INTAKE - CUSTOMER SERVICE REP POSITION Bachelor's degree and/or 5 years of experience in the tax preparation field IRS Volunteer Standard of Conduct AND Intake and Quality Review Process certification Strong knowledge about personal income taxes and tax law Excellent customer service skills Basic computer skills Management or supervisory experience is preferred. Being bilingual in English and Spanish would be a plus! Are you self-motivated? Do you have great communication and organizational skills? Can you effectively prioritize multiple tasks?
