A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A DOG TRAINER / BEHAVIORIST As a Dog Trainer / Behaviorist, you serve as a mentor to employees at our pet care facility. You are sought after by customers and staff for expertise related to positive reinforcement training and behavior. Being affiliated with Canine Cabana, you are looked at by industry competitors to be the best in our industry. You perform group training classes, private consultations, and behavioral assessments for new dogs attending the facility. You train new employees how to handle group dog daycare and actively work with other departments to help all of our clients. DOG TRAINER / BEHAVIORIST QUALIFICATIONS Minimum 1 year of hands-on dog training experience Excellent communication skills with peers and customers Knowledge of dog training, dog behavior, and dog body language Able to lift 50 lbs. Understanding of dog groups/pack dynamics is a plus ! Do you have great people skills? Are you professional in language and dress but also willing to get a little dirty? Are you a team player who can work well with other departments? Do you have integrity, a strong work ethic, and a drive to succeed? Can you stay calm under pressure?
