REQUIREMENTS FOR OUR LICENSED MASTER SOCIAL WORKER Our part-time Licensed Master Social Worker is essential to the wellness of our families of children from birth through 18 years of age as you provide both crisis intervention and mental health services. Much of your time is spent providing intervention and treatment services that are based on standardized assessment and treatment goal-planning. Further, you consider everything from human development and cognitive-behavioral and attachment theories that emphasize the incorporation of a family systems model to best meet the needs of the families and children you serve. You focus on solution-based interventions embedded within the context of the community, external systems, and culture of the family. Furthermore, you facilitate strategies that help all family members improve their interactions and comfort levels within larger community settings. When needs arise, you serve as a liaison or consultant between our program and other agencies. You also advocate and negotiate for needed services and support. Additionally, you take on a proactive role in the development of our team as you conduct educational presentations to staff, other professionals, and community groups regarding the mental health needs of children. You also provide mental health consultation to our other prevention programs. If you are motivated to serve families with health and human services and mental health therapy, we want you on our team! Master's degree in a human services field Current clinical license issued by the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board Applicable knowledge about infant, child, adult, and family life development Relevant and applicable knowledge and understanding of DSM diagnostic procedures Pass all required background checks Driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance Licensing as a licensed specialist clinical social worker (LSCSW) is preferred but multiple factors will be taken into consideration. Experience in home-based service delivery, play therapy, infant mental health, and working with multidisciplinary teams would be highly desirable. ARE YOU READY?
