New Glarus Home is seeking a scheduler to join our Nursing Services team! The Scheduler is a great position for someone that is looking to grow in the healthcare field and gain some great Human Resources experience in the process. The successful individual has excellent customer service, is able to apply policies and procedures in a fair and consistent manner and will enjoy working through scheduling issues as they arise. The primary purpose of the Nursing Services Scheduler is to assist in planning, organizing, developing, and directing the day to day operations of the nursing services department in accordance with current Federal, State, and Local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our facility. This position may be directed by the Director of Nursing (DON), or the Administrator to ensure quality care is maintained at all times. Responsibilities to include: Setting up new employees with schedules in OnShift. Reviewing master schedule and coordinating coverage for open shifts as needed. Reviewing time entry and payroll to ensure data captured is accurately reflected. Tracking in-services including those in our relias learning system. Monitoring attendance and bringing disciplinary issues to the Director of Nursing. Creating new processes to improve financial efficiency. Qualifications: 1-2 years of accounting experience preferred Certified Nursing Assistant Certification or will receive in 120 days of employment Must have a high degree of comfort with computer systems. Strong analytical and problem solving skills, commitment to accuracy Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience with cloud based scheduling systems preferred Strong customer services skills, Detail and deadline-oriented This position is Monday - Friday with occasional need to be on call. Individuals who enjoy solving a good puzzle encouraged to apply.
