Job Overview : A St. Clair Country Club laundry attendant will play a vital role in the efficiency of club operations. They will ensure that their area is clean and organized for easy access for fellow employees. Our expectations of you as a member of our team are that you will put your teammates first, support our operational goals, and deliver the best member experience possible. Basic Functions Distributing laundered articles and linens Keeps laundry area maintained in a safe, clean and good working condition. Disinfects and sterilizes equipment and supplies. Empties wastebaskets, and transports trash and waste to disposal area May perform other duties as assigned Receives linens by bag, cart or chute. Sorts all articles by kind, color and degree of soil. Operates washers and dryers according to recommended capacity and other manufacturers' guidelines Ensures necessary chemicals are added in the correct quantities prior to wash cycles Folds clean linens and stores as appropriate. Assists in daily linen counts for inventories Knowledge and Skill Requirements Be detail oriented, preferably with facility cleaning experience Basic cleaning chemical knowledge Physical Demands & Work Environment Able to stand, walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch and twist, or reach Ability to push pull or lift up to 50 lbs Work in hot, humid & noisy environments Benefits accessible to Full Time Employees who meet handbook requirements after introductory period.
