Please note: you may be referred to a Temporary Agency to complete the application/hiring process JOB SUMMARY : The duties of this part-time position will include confidential and skilled work for the Electric Utility. The work required involves considerable computer skills, telephone skills, and familiarity with office equipment. Work will focus on developing advertising and display materials for the utility's clean energy programs, data entry, and some off-site assignments, such as working with local schools and businesses to promote clean energy program participation and attending community events. JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Aid in developing printed and other media required to educate the public. • Assist in setting up education and marketing opportunities with local schools and businesses. • Perform data entry for the record keeping of energy savings and program costs. Interact with customers and the public to explain programs and encourage participation. Handle incoming calls and other communications. Routine clerical tasks as required. Minimum Job Requirements: Must be 18 years of age. Education and/or experience equivalent to two years of training in a business-related field. Knowledge of marketing and clean energy programs are a plus. Ability to work independently on confidential assignments; must use discretion in the handling of all confidential analysis, data, and reports. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are a must. Demonstrated ability in a variety of office software including, but not limited to: Microsoft Office (Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, and Publisher). Two writing/marketing samples are encouraged with your resume and cover letter. Class work is accepted as a sample.
