Baylor CNA starting at $28/hr! Masonic Village at Elizabethtown is hiring for End of Life Care CNA's to work on our brand new Evergreen unit! Currently hiring for: Baylor Weekends only, Saturdays 6am - 10:15pm & Sundays 2pm - 10:15 pm As a End of Life CNA, you will carry out our Mission of Love by performing various duties as outlined in the plan of care, primarily pertaining to personal care and socialization that would be received by the terminally ill resident. Our End of Life Care CNA is responsible for the following: Assist family members and caregivers to maintain their share of responsibilities and encourage the resident to participate in the life of the family as much as they are able. Assist patients with activities of daily living and use learned methods/techniques to assist patient to achieve these activities independently or with assistance until no longer able. Reports observations, changes, unusual conditions or reactions to supervisor or appropriate discipline in a timely manner. Notifies appropriate licensed staff when a resident complains of pain or shows signs of poor symptom management. Reports any significant changes in condition to licensed staff. Accurately completes, documents, and communicates all resident information and nursing care provided in a timely manner and in accordance with Masonic Village policies and procedures. Assists residents with activities of daily living, i.e., bathing, hair care, nail care, mouth care, feeding, back care and toileting. Assists residents during meals; replenishes ice and water in resident rooms; serves between-meal nourishments. Assists residents with ambulating or using a wheelchair/specialty wheelchair to activities, meals, or special appointments in a timely manner. Attend trainings to build understanding of the care that is required during end of life. What You Definitely Have: Must hold current and valid CNA certification. 18 years of age or older. High School graduate preferred, but not essential.
