Now offering student loan repayment up to $10,800 Position Overview: Assists cardiologist with all cardiac cath procedures such as left and right heart caths, LV and coronary angiography, coronary angioplasty/stent placement, and pacemaker implants. Operates the Cath Lab Xray system and Siemens Hemodynamic system. Assist Radiologist with a variety of procedures such as arteriograms and tube placements. Knowledge of the special lab X-ray equipment. Exams to be performed with the highest technical quality and efficiency while providing compassionate care and ensuring patient safety. CV PACS administrator is responsible for the operational administration and network management and implementation of the CV PACS. This position provides end user and physician training, ensures data quality and integrity, and coordinates with peers and outside vendors to ensure seamless flow of digital images and associated patient information. Essential Functions : Cardiovascular Technologist a) Responsible for knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology. b) Monitor ECG and Hemodynamics during cardiac catheterization. c) Perform strict sterile technique in all procedures in accordance with current policies and procedures. d) Responsible for developing all films and maintaining Q/A data daily for dark room. e) Scrub pacemaker procedures (analyzing and interrogating pacers a plus). f) All aspects of coronary intervention. g) IABP insertion and the operation of. h) Responsible for knowledge of arterial and venous anatomy and physiology. i) Responsible for sharing workload, working extended shifts, taking after hours call to include weekends and holidays, responds to pager within (5) minutes and reports for duty within (30) minutes of notification. CV PACS Administrator a. Participates in strategic planning b. System Monitoring c. User management d. Quality control and performance monitoring e. Study monitoring and patient information management f. Trouble-shooting and problem solving g. Providing proactive technical administration, planning, coordination, documentation, and management reporting h. Interface monitoring to ensure Cathlab data flows between CV PACS and Meditech i. Recognizes and corrects studies when patient demographic and clinical information is incorrect. j. Coordinate and provide user and physician training. k. Provide primary support to users and physicians l. Liaison between cardiology and IS services Physical Demands and Working Conditions: Physical Demands: Ability to lift twenty (20) pounds. Moving, lifting or transferring of patients may involve lifting of up to fifty (50) pounds, as well as assist with weights of more than one-hundred (100) pounds. Ability to stand for extended periods. Fine motor skills. Visual acuity. Qualifications & Skills: a) ARRT registered or CVT. b) BLS upon hire. ACLS certified within six months of hire. c) One year experience preferred, but not mandatory. d) Excellent teamwork and communication skills. e.) A working knowledge of computers and desktop software solutions including MS office, project planning, strong interpersonal skills, working knowledge of modality interfacing methods, and an understanding of image data transfer, storage, and network requirements.
