Habitat America, LLC is seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Maintenance Technician/Supervisor in NW Washington, DC for two brand new affordable housing apartment communities. The construction for both buildings has been completed. This fast growing, property management company is largely based in the Mid-Atlantic region. Applicants who are qualified for this position have 5+ years prior apartment maintenance experience. Experience with appliance repairs, general carpentry, basic plumbing, basic electrical work, drywall and painting is needed. HVAC troubleshooting experience is also needed! It is imperative that the Maintenance Supervisor be able to work alongside the team and independently. This is a working supervisor position. This position is responsible for all technical matters related to general apartment maintenance. In addition to technical maintenance tickets, this position will assist with unit turnovers and be part of the after-hours on-call rotation. The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing contractors, obtaining bids of work, overseeing maintenance team, as well as performing maintenance tickets for the building. This position directly reports to the Community Manager. Compensation is dependent on experience and certification(s). Position is subject to $1000 hiring bonus upon successful completion of probation period.
