Position Summary The Director of Learning and Development will be responsible for all activities pertaining to leadership training, associate engagement, and improvement of the productivity of all Bank associates. Develops, supervises and conducts programs for Leadership and associates that will successfully develop leadership skills, improve associate engagement and enhance quality in the delivery of extraordinary client experiences. Essential Requirements, Duties, and Responsibilities Exemplify the desired culture and philosophies of the organization, leading the Bank's Building Relationships and Value as One (BRAVO!) program. Train and coach managers, supervisors and others involved in associate development efforts. Develop, recommend and implement strategies to meet bank-wide learning and development needs. Develop and implement internal systems and procedures to ensure cost effectiveness, consistency, and delivery of quality programs. Formulate teaching outlines and determine instructional methods such as individual training, online instruction, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, conferences, meetings, workshops, etc. Select or develop teaching aids such as training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials, and reference workshops. Work closely with Leadership Team to ensure bank goals are achieved. Organize or participate in performance leadership improvement meetings and Voice of the Associate meetings to facilitate engagement. Assess participants to measure progress and to evaluate effectiveness of learning and development efforts. Monitor and evaluate programs, processes and/or practices for quality and effectiveness; establish a Return on Investment model for all L & D programs. Lead Learning and Development team. Lead all aspects of LMS system functionality and curriculum approved for PeoplesBank associates. Develop and deliver presentations, stand up training or instruction as appropriate. Set goals, establish priorities, manage resources, develops concepts and approaches, reviews project progress and results; make recommendations and decisions appropriately. Partner, as a team member, with other members of management and Human Resources for effective talent management. Work with Marketing Department to develop client survey and mystery shopper programs, to provide recommendations for improved client experience. Work with Human Resources to develop engagement surveys for various levels of associates and provides recommendations to management to support continuous improvement. Other duties as assigned. Educational & Other Requirements A four year degree, preferably a master's degree in Business or Education at an accredited educational institution 3-5 years of related experience. A minimum of two years supervisory experience Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong leadership skills Excellent project management skills Technical proficiencies with Microsoft Office Suite Excellent time management skills Must be willing to travel Must be bondable.
