ADAS Vehicle Electronics Technician

What we are looking for: Motivated, dependable Data Technicians to assist an OEM with testing needs. Overview and Core Responsibilities: Develop vehicle instrumentation system architecture wiring plans. Develop power distribution plan. Develop detailed vehicle instrumentation wiring schematics. Develop sensor mounting brackets. Build wire harness assemblies. Install wiring per the wiring schematics. Install ADAS sensors. Install the data acquisition system, including reference cameras. Install power distribution and data distribution equipment. Conduct wiring prove out to ensure wiring has been installed per the schematics. Ensure vehicle instrumentation and lab support tasks are completed as scheduled. Prepare vehicle build reports with a standard template. Train new technicians with the tasks listed above. Assist System Test Engineers integrate the ADAS sensors with the vehicle and data acquisition system. Qualifications: Requirements: Vehicle electrical wiring skills. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, technical specifications, and blueprints. Mechanical bracket design and fabrication skills. Methodical problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills. Proficient with MS Office tools for documentation development. Able to work in a team environment or independently with little or no supervision to meet tight deadlines Must be flexible and able to handle changing priorities. Self-dependent with a high degree of passion, dedication and commitment. Valid driver license. Ability to obtain Driver Level 2 Certification required to drive test vehicles and demo vehicles. Willing and able to travel occasionally in support of test activities. Must have the ability to lift 25 lbs. Preferred Qualifications and Desired Competencies: Associates of Applied Science degree. 2+ years of experience installing Automotive Electronic/Electromechanical Products. Knowledge of vehicle electronics, including vehicle communication systems (CAN, Vector products). Computerized data logging system knowledge. Continuous improvement mindset towards process and procedure development.
