NOW HIRING $500.00 HIRING BONUS 2023/24 $200.00 in September and $300.00 end of school year. Group Leader: Before and Afterschool - Part-time Montgomery County Glen Haven Elementary School Here's what you'll need: High school diploma, certificate of high school equivalency OR Successful completion of at least 6 credits from an accredited college or university AND 1 year of experience working with children in an approved setting, (registered child care home, licensed child care center, nursery school, church operated school, or similar setting)OR 1 year of experience as a registered family child care provide or 1 year of college (30 semester hours) You will have to complete a work verification paper that is completed by their past employer OR Combination of experience and college that equals 1 year In addition, you will need: 90 Hour Certificate in School Age Development and Curriculum Medication Administration Certificate Emergency Preparedness Certificate Ability to motivate and engage children and manage behavioral challenges. Serves as a positive role model; must be enthusiastic, energetic, creative and sensitive to children. Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet program staffing needs. Good judgement and sound decision making. Ability to provide a supportive and caring environment for children. Required licenses or certifications: Medication Administration ADA Emergency Preparedness 90 Hour School Age Curriculum and Development First Aid and CPR AlphaBEST: After School is where adventure begins! At AlphaBest, our students are filled with curiosity and wonder! As their guide , you'll help lead them through fun learning activities, with plenty of support and training. Location: Glen Haven Elementary School-10900 Inwood Ave. Silver Spring MD Schedule: No weekends! Part time Morning Care 6:15am-9am Afternoon care 3pm-6:30pm. Provide a caring, family-oriented environment where positive staff, child, and parent relationships are fostered.
