Senior Staff Accountant, Inventory & Projects

General Purpose of Position : Oversee and develop the return goods process utilizing our proprietary systems. Primary Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions) : Inventory Accounting • Reconcile and analyze inventory balances • Inventory cost • Set up and analysis inventory reserves • Various reporting • Prepare journal entries as necessary • Assist in annual inventory counts Assist in the preparation of annual budgets Perform activities related to month and year-end closings Various reporting and billing Administer Fixed Assets / Depreciation Prepare sales tax returns Annual 1099's Assist in the preparation of budgets Knowledge, Skills and Abilities : Knowledge of JD Edwards experience a plus Working knowledge of GAAP concepts Advanced problem resolution skills and communication abilities (both verbal and written) Exceptional organization and time management skills Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision Excellent knowledge of accounting and financial processes (budgeting, financial closure, reporting etc) Strong Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Excel, and Word) Education and Experience : Bachelor's degree in accounting or Finance or equivalent experience (required) 3+ years accounting experience (required) Physical Demands and Work Environment : Required to sit, talk, see, and hear. Occasionally required to walk, lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Must use hands and fingers to operate computer. Must have the ability to adjust focus for unplanned activities and other duties as assigned. Daily contact requires courtesy, discretion, and sound judgment. The work environment is indoors.
