Wilbarger General Hospital of Vernon, TX is looking to hire a PRN nights/days Nurse Tech for the medical surgical department. Job Summary: To assist the professional nurse and other nursing personnel in the completion of patient care tasks and providing patient care needs as outlined by the nurse in charge of each patient. Assures that they follow instructions as they have been trained and in accordance with the policies and procedures of the hospital. Job Qualifications: Education: High School Graduate preferred. Personal Job-Related Skills: Ability to read and write desirable and the ability to comprehend and follow verbal or written instructions. Licensure, Registry or Certification: BLS certification required. CPI required. Experience: Prior Work Experience: One year experience in a medical setting preferred. Technical Training: CNA preferred. Physical and Mental Requirements: Duties of the position require extended periods of standing and walking. Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, reaching and lifting up to 50 pounds. Pushing and pulling with 50 pounds force while assisting patients or moving equipment. Occasional heavy lifting when moving or supporting patients who may become weak or helpless. Must submit to post offer substance abuse testing (drug screening). Must be able to work 12-hour shift, either day shift from 7:00 am - 7:00 pm or night shift from 7:00 pm -7:00 am. Job Posted by ApplicantPro
