Children's Home of Kingston is currently hiring a Seasonal Lifeguard for our on site pool. The lifeguard will be responsible for providing quality lifeguarding services, ensuring safety, to young men age range of 10 - 21. They will need to be able to react quickly and appropriately in emergencies and be able to demonstrate strong communication and customer service skills. Full time and part time schedules available. We are looking for individuals who are reliable, organized, and able to work independently as well as part of a team. The ability to work flexible hours and one weekend day a week is a must. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Monitor the pool with constant attention to all swimmers. Ensure the safety of swimmers by communicating and enforcing the rules and procedures of the pool. Rescue swimmers and perform appropriate follow-up procedures, including the proper use of equipment in the performance of first aid. Follow strict guidelines regarding safety and emergency procedures. Responsible for performing various maintenance duties (i.e., taking chemical readings) to help ensure a clean and safe facility. Work well independently and as part of a team. Any and all other duties as assigned. Requirements Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent Certified in First Aid/ CPR. Certified as a lifeguard. Driver's License
