Position Summary: Ensures all affected areas of the Corporate Credit Union are kept informed of changing laws and procedures for implementation to be completed at the appropriate time. In addition, through regular training and seminars remain "up to date" on program requirements, recordkeeping and reporting requirements under the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA); Anti Money Laundering Act (AML) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC). Act as the control point for the office to ensure that all procedures and time frames are met by monitoring activity. Work with the financial and lending institutions which are member credit unions, to ensure compliance with local, state and federal guidelines. Criteria: *Ethical and principled individual *Willing to scrutinize all the facts without making a snap judgement *Honed alertness and vigilance to potential breaches in compliance. *apply the 5 key functions which are to Identify, prevent, monitor and detect, resolve and advise Preferred Education and Experience: Five (5) years of similar or related experience within the financial services industry. Paralegal degree (or equivalent certifications to Paralegal degree). Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: *Effective verbal and written communication skills *First level conflict resolution, building relationships and soliciting cooperation *Understanding of pertinent laws, regulations and executive orders pertaining to subject matter *Knowledge of Banking practices *High degree of confidentiality. Requires diploma and tact in communication style. *Knowledge of MS office applications
