Crew Supervisor

SUMMARY: Under the general supervision of the Program Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations associated with work crew in all aspects and is responsible for coordinating, training, instructing and organizing work crew members. QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Experience: High School diploma or GED. Experience in the Human Services field, with some background in the use of power tools and janitorial duties. Language Ability: Must possess ability to read, write and understand English. Strong oral and written communication skills are a must in combination with the ability to explain job functions. Math Ability: Ability to understand and apply basic mathematical concepts as required. Computer Skills: Must have general knowledge of computers with the ability to use Word and Excel. Driving: Must maintain a CA driver's license and be insured to drive in California. COMPETENCIES: • Is punctual and dependable• Provides excellent internal and external customer service• Must work in an ethical and professional manner• Has strong interpersonal skills that include responding well to supervision• Must be able to work collaboratively at all levels within the organization• Must be able to work independently• Must demonstrate respect and sensitivity to diversity• Must possess general knowledge of developmental and physical disabilities; individual/group instruction techniques, behavior modification techniques, documentation procedures and have ability to remain calm in high stress situations• Must maintain First Aid/CPR certificates and be able to meet California Community Care Licensing personnel standards.• Provides regular performance feedback, develops subordinates' skills and encourages growth• Fosters quality, excellence and team work among staff• Prioritizes and plans work activities• Delegates and uses sound judgment when making decisions DUTIES: • To support employment program participants• Carry out specific training plans for participants as instructed,• Identify and communicate to Program Manager the consumer needs,• Maintain accurate and detailed consumer attendance records and all other pertinent documentation relevant to the position,• Perform job coaching as needed• Relate and establish rapport with employers and personnel associated with support agencies• Participate in staff meetings,• Other duties as assigned PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
