River Edge offers comprehensive, coordinated, and evidence-based outpatient treatment services to support individuals as they build a life of full recovery from substance use disorder(s). In this role you will: Provide drug and alcohol counseling and support to individual clients and their families. Facilitate group counseling, including process group psychotherapy and providing education on relevant topics regarding addiction. Conduct confidential behavioral health assessments as it pertains to substance use disorder(s) and co-occurring needs. Use a strengths-based approach to work collaboratively with clients and River Edge treatment team members to help support clients in their treatment and recovery. Provide clinical consultation to referral resources, mentors, family members, and others to help support clients in their recovery. Model and support health and wellness activities and healthy coping skills for clients. Maintain quality, up-to-date clinical records. including case notes, treatment plan reviews, discharge planning, and Outcomes Survey; enter necessary information into River Edge's electronic medical records (EMR) system. Adhere to all federal, state, and regulatory ethical/legal guidelines as a substance abuse counselor Work with the Medication Assisted Treatment Team (MAT). Other assigned duties as requested. You will need: Fully COVID Vaccinated. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a social service related field (social work, sociology, psychology, etc.). CAC II or CADC II certification OR LMSW/LPC with at least two years' experience in a social service related position. Experience with processing groups and facilitating skills training.
