Join us to help make a difference. We are currently seeking a full-time Operations Manager to join our Land Survey team in Knoxville, Tennessee. Are you ready for the challenge of projects that require cross discipline collaboration including geotechnical engineering, civil engineering, industrial siting, stream and wetland restoration and environmental remediation? If your answer is a resounding yes, then we have a position for you on our team. The selected candidate will join a successful, busy team of surveyors, engineers, environmental professionals, geologists and planners in support of public and private sector projects throughout Tennessee. Boundary, Topographic, ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys and Control surveys Municipal Plat preparation for City and County Governments Bathymetric Surveys Manage client and project team relationships and communication regarding project expectations, schedule, and budget Perform and/or provide oversite of office and field functions including computations, reduction of field notes, legal descriptions of properties and easements, filing and CAD drafting and mapping Conducts proper research to aid in collection of field data and development of ALTA standard and legal plat deliverables Perform QA/QC on work completed in the field Follows prescribed safety practices for geomatic field operations Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Geomatics, Land Surveying or related field and 5-7+ years of progressive experience or 10-12 years of experience leading both office and field survey technicians Professional Licensure in Tennessee Proficiency with GPS, Robotic Total Station and Data Collection equipment Ability to work extended hours including Saturdays and ability to travel out of town for limited periods of time Preferred Qualifications: AutoCAD and/or Carlson software experience Trimble hardware and software experience Why work at S&ME?
