For more information on A-Gas, and our environmental journey, please go to www.agas.com/us Job Purpose We are looking for a Director of Business Development who will lead, develop, and challenge our sales team to meet and exceed company goals by way of procuring spent material in the marketplace. In this role, you will manage a team of territory account managers as a coach in a broad range of commercial activities to ensure customer satisfaction and corporate goals are delivered while supporting our commitment to the environment. In this role, you will be responsible and accountable for driving gas acquisition and service revenue through multiple channels. The role manages and leads sales teams, sets goals, budgets, forecast, and develop plans for growth, and seeks out new opportunities. This includes identifying and tracking new markets, spotting emerging trends, and setting long-term objectives to meet business needs and requirements. Reports To Sr. Director Network and Operations Primary Place of Work Home office with travel to A-Gas sites, customers, suppliers, or other sites as required. This position may require greater than 50% travel. Key Responsibilities Lead a regional/multi-state Territory Account Manager(TAMs) and Business Development Sales (BDS) team through training, coaching, and development, while being accountable to meet or exceed aligned goals Ability to collaborate with business partners and communicate feedback from/to the TAMs and BDS' to drive continuous improvement throughout the business. Create a strong focus on refrigerant gas acquisition through the Box Truck Program ensuring collaboration with Field Services Managers and Business Development Sales leaders. Lead the TAM and BDS sales teams to meet and exceed both Rapid Exchange and Network goals for refrigerant pounds and service revenue. Be a strategic leader with the ability to proactively solve problems and make decisions based on company success factors. Ability to influence without authority and be approachable. Ability to drive results by holding direct reports accountable to key metrics Ensure successful communication of company processes to franchisees and follow up on action items. Coach and mentor direct reports to use available resources to problem-solve independently Work closely with IT to create and develop tools i.e., Salesforce Dashboards & reports that allow for accountability and consistency across the team Experience, Knowledge, and Qualifications Essential Strong verbal and written communication skills Bachelor's degree required with experience in sales or 8+ years of relevant industry-related experience in lieu of degree Experience leading and developing a decentralized sales team Strong persuasive and interpersonal skills with a sales aptitude Proven experience with developing specific market strategies within an assigned region Able to partner with People & Culture to communicate and ensure compliance with state and local employment laws Strong computer skills needed: SAP People, Salesforce, Microsoft Office Products Must be a self-starter and a problem solver Preferred Experience in specialty chemical industry and/or HVAC Working Conditions & Environment Extensive travel via truck or plane, with hotel overnights as needed on traveling weeks. Work is conducted both indoors and outdoors under various conditions. Several hours per day may be spent operating a motor vehicle. Appearance at all times must represent the company image. Exposure to the environments of customer facilities. Fast-paced environment: subject to numerous schedule and priority changes with short notice activity. Why A-Gas?
