New Albany Housing Authority has an immediate opening for a Maintenance llI position.Hours and Days:Generally, this position is scheduled to work Monday-Thursday, 8 am to 4 pm and Friday 8 am to 12 pm. Rotational overtime and occasional emergency overtime is required.Job Summary: Performs carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other general repairs with at the direction of the Property Manager; may work independently or be assigned to a crew of workers; may be assigned to specific functions.Essential Duties: HVAC maintenance, plumbing repairs, electrical and carpentry work, appliance repair, estimates time and materials, general maintenance including door, window, woodwork, floor, wall and exterior repairs or replacement including work on roofs; labor duties requiring power and/or hand tools.Qualifications: High School diploma or GED equivalent; or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience; HVAC certified, including Freon replacement; thorough knowledge of power, water, and gas turnoffs, clean out traps, fire extinguishers, and fire hydrants; general knowledge of techniques, methods, materials, and equipment used in plumbing, carpentry, and electrical repairs and household appliances; must have current/valid driver's license and ability to be covered under fleet insurance plan.The New Albany Housing Authority is an equal opportunity employer.
