Description:

South Ogden City is accepting applications for full-time Firefighter/EMT II or III. Applicants for a Firefighter II must be at least 18 years of age, have a High School Diploma or equivalent, have an EMT-B, Hazmat Awareness and Operations, Firefighter I and II Cert, and a valid driver's license. Firefighter III candidates must have the same certifications plus an EMT-A certification. Firefighters provide a variety of entry-level firefighting duties related to protection of life and property by performing firefighting, emergency medical aid, and fire prevention/education duties. This position also performs minor maintenance efforts with firefighting and medical equipment, apparatus, and facilities. The starting hourly wage for a Firefighter II is $16.79. The starting hourly wage for a Firefighter III is $17.05 - $22.45 depending on qualifications and experience. To be considered for this position, a South Ogden City employment application must be completed and returned to the Human Resources Department. Successful applicants will have to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen.
