This individual is extremely technical and serves as a subject matter expert for all of vcpi's services and products. This individual thrives on communicating with clients and prospects, understanding their problems, and offering solutions. The Account Executive serves as the principle point of communication between the client and vcpi, and manages the overall relationship and client perception of vcpi service performance. The Account Executive builds relationships beyond our clients' technical personnel and ensures that the client executives appreciate the value of our LTPAC-focused technology services. Works as a team player to problem solve, turn challenges into opportunities, and participate in the overall enhancement and acceptance of vcpi's products and services. The job performance of the Account Executive is quantitatively measured by the revenue growth, breadth of contracted service offerings, profitability, surveyed client satisfaction, and renewal. The job performance of the Account Executive is qualitatively measured by the documented client information using Miller Heiman processes, collaboration on sales opportunities, use of CRM technology, and guidance to sales support members. Essential Functions The Account Executive is accountable for performing each of the following functions at the highest level to ensure organization's success: Enhances sales staff accomplishments and competence by planning delivery of solutions, answering technical and procedural questions for less experienced team members; teaching improved processes; mentoring team members Identify leads, uncover opportunities develop and cultivate relationships to sell company products and services to prospects. Understand, implement, and track accounts through the sales funnel utilizing Salesforce.com. Utilize Salesforce.com and participate in constant acceptance and improvements to the tool. Takes the lead in coordinating sales efforts on all prospects in given territory. Organize and plan sales objectives consistent with company sales goals. Develop and close sales activities. Collaborate with sales team to develop proposals and work statements that solve business problems and meet the needs of clients and prospects. Maintain excellent communications with clients with regards to contractual agreements and billing concerns. Conduct regular client conference calls to review strategies with clients to better understand business challenges and offer solutions to solve them. Coordinate and create client renewal proposals and work statements in conjunction with the sales support member to ensure all clients have active contracts that speak to changes in vcpi strategy and client needs. Participate in market analysis while remaining current on trends in the LTPAC community. Develop, recommend, and implement innovate selling ideas, methods, and action plans. Participate in sales meetings and account review. Identify and attend conferences and trade shows to represent vcpi and sell our products and services. Collaborate with Solutions Consultant when needed to help convey technical value proposition and architect appropriate vcpi solution that best fits the prospects needs. Work directly with internal vcpi teams to build out the architecture and solution that best fits each prospect's needs. Establish and cultivate relationships with vendors, partners, and industry associations to maximize referrals and create a strong networking market. Effectively negotiate contracts with vcpi prospects and clients to achieve and exceed quota for given territory. Responsible for collaboration with Solutions Consultant and remainder of the team for Work Statement and Proposal creation. Responsible for collaboration with Solutions Consultant and appropriate team members to ensure products and services are profitable and priced appropriately. Collaborate with Marketing to create content and campaigns to drive lead generation and thought leadership. Assist Sales Leadership in rolling out new marketing program and adjusting strategy when necessary. Follow the Miller Heiman process to maximize sales results. Assist Sales Leadership in overall sales strategy and finding innovative ideas to increase market penetration. Travel Estimated 40% travel is expected for this position. The account executive will travel to meet with prospects and clients and attend major industry trade shows and executive conferences, where applicable. Required Education and Experience A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management, Information Systems, Business, Communications, or another related discipline. At least five years of cumulative time in regional sales, consultative sales, sales engineering, technical inside sales, or business development role, preferably in a health care or information technology consulting services organization. At least two years directly involved in the Long-Term Post Acute Care industry is preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Must possess excellent leadership skills and set an example for the entire team. Must have strong technical background to understand and translate solutions and products to both technical and non-technical audience. Must have excellent communication and organizational skills to work with clients and prospects and deliver presentations. Strong reading, writing, verbal, and problem-solving skills are essential, including the ability to effectively obtain, share, analyze, and convey information. Ability to collaborate with peers, managers, and executives. Ability to prepare, organize and present information to small and large groups of people. Possess strong documentation skills and/or knowledge of systems analysis techniques. Knowledge of computer application software as it relates to performing duties of the position.
