Employment Type: Full-Time Essential Duties Plan and supervise trade activities - Includes determining the method of construction, manpower levels, material quantities, equipment, temporary power sources, work schedule, and documenting actual daily activities and job progress. Coordinate assigned work with the work of different trades, company departments, or other contractors. Maintain liaison with project management, estimating, and planning to ensure work complies with drawings, specifications, and schedule. Assist in resolving construction problems (lack of productivity, work interfaces, etc.) as required. Monitor compliance with project and company safety program requirements; document and ensure corrective measures are implemented. Maintain liaison with other departments, support trade activities and project schedule. Evaluate and document the work performance of assigned personnel. Ensure accurate and timely preparation of timesheets for assigned personnel. Perform additional assignments per the direction of the Project Manager(s). Supervises lead foremen, foremen, mechanics, and helpers. Forecast short and long-term manpower requirements on assigned projects. Accurately document changes in work scope. Prepare time and material estimates for directed contract changes. Perform other related duties and assignments as required. Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities Work within industry standards of accuracy and possess a mechanical aptitude. Have good oral and reading skills, including the ability to read and apply the project plans and specifications, and the manufacturers' installation instructions and clearly communicate with customers, suppliers, other CES employees, and other trades. Demonstrate an interest and initiative in improving his skills through a combination of self-study, company training, manufacturers' workshops, and other professional development activities. Advanced understanding of construction scheduling, cost control, and ability to control and supervise large groups essential. Ability to interact effectively with customers, vendors, and employees at all levels. Have the ability to direct, organize, and supervise work efficiently, given time pressures, non-standard schedule, extreme weather conditions indicative of job site location, varying customer needs, demands, and backlog constraints. Have the ability to accurately evaluate and document the skills and abilities of assigned personnel. Proficient in using the internet to research information as well as Intermediate or above skills in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel Must be able to climb and balance on ladders, stand/ or sit for long periods at a time, must not have fear of heights, among others Must be able to pass regular drug testing and be open to background checks Licenses/Certifications Valid Florida Driver's License is required Incumbent must be insurable at all times by CES insurance carrier Experience and Certifications Minimum 5 years of related experience in similar facility construction technology, methods, equipment, tools, and work procedures required OSHA 30 hour class, First Aid and CPR current certifications.
