Position Summary: Responsible for the Structure Repair Solutions group in charge of providing approved end to end repair solutions, to worldwide customers as part of a worldwide team. Lead a team of engineers supporting the Airbus fleet, including brand new assets and aging aircraft. Work with major airlines and MROs globally averaging 4000 repairs per year. Ensure compliance with the Design Organization Manual (DOM) and Airbus procedures for the Structure Repair Solutions activities of repair design approval for all structure ATA chapters. Accountable for the preparation, approval and timely supply to customers of repair solutions which are unique and tailored in design to allow a timely aircraft return to service in safe conditions, implementing a 24 hours/day and 7 days/week service. Lead the Repair Solutions group and take operational responsibility for the repairs prepared in the team. Ensure repair design/stress offices provide the required services and work in close coordination with the Structure Repair Support Operational leader for escalation and prioritization. Create strong working relationships with customers from the region to lead the resolution of escalation/ critical situations, working in all cases in a collaborative manner with the H.O Repair Solutions Heavy Maintenance Europe-Americas based in Toulouse. Primary Responsibilities : Operations: 50% Responsible for the functional and operational lead of the Wichita Repair Solutions team with responsibility of OTCQ delivery of repair solutions, individual performance evaluation, career development and communication of the objectives of the Repair organization. Coordinate activities with the Head of Fleet & Engineering and Head Of Structure Repair Support to ensure alignment and 24/7 coverage globally. Ensure the operational performance of the Wichita Repair Solutions team through KPI's relating to the team's performance. Supervise and facilitate all transverse activities contributing to the efficiency of the Repair Solutions operational business in the region. Enhance the cooperation with other stakeholders supporting the Structure Repair activities and the growth of the scope of work, which includes: SRM-related activities Anticipation and industrialization deployment Training Governance Ensure definition, airworthiness approval and timely supply of customer focused repair solutions/ repair design approval sheet in accordance with relevant regulations. Organize and deliver on-site support assistance when needed (FAST team or scheduled on-site assistance) and as feasible based on competences and resources availability within the team. Communication 20% Work as part of a multi-cultural, global Company. Comfortable working in a large complex organization. Interface with internal and external customers as well as Airbus leadership People 20% Provide guidance and direction for direct reports Contribute to the growth and development of the team Daily monitoring of resources / team management (16) reporting Maintain and monitor KPI's and escalate issues to management when required Budget 10%: Contribute to budget (AOP) planning concerning work level and qualifications. Manage the contract workforce including PO creation, time submittal, invoicing Other duties as assigned 5% Qualified Experience / Skills / Training: Education: Minimum Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace, Mechanical or Civil Engineering is preferred Experience: A minimum of 8 years of experience in Customer Service is preferred. Experience working within an international team preferred Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities: Excellent coordination, collaboration and people skills working with internal and external customers in a fast paced environment. Ability to prepare and present issue resolution to a varied audience. Establish and maintain professional relationships with a diverse international workforce and customer base. Demonstrated knowledge of Aircraft Customer Services environment and requirements, Airbus experience preferred Advanced leadership skills, team development and resource planning Working knowledge of Airlines, Aircraft and Aircraft maintenance operations (repair, modification) Strong knowledge of North American aviation market and culture highly preferred Knowledge of Airbus Airframe is required Communication Skills: Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing to teams and business partners worldwide.
