Description:
FDY, Inc is seeking a Controller to oversee the financial operations of the company. This position will be responsible for providing leadership, direction and collaboration on all financial aspects of the company. The ideal candidate will bring strong knowledge of general principles in accounting, federal, state and local tax guidelines, financial planning and financial reporting. Summary of Duties The Controller is responsible for guiding the financial decisions of FDY. The responsibilities will include the following: Formulating and executing the company's financial strategy Developing plans for growth with main goal to increase the company's profit Identifying investment opportunities and managing acquisitions Assisting the CEO in developing financial plans for the company along with providing best practices for the company's finances and provide strategic plans to improve the company's financial stability Overseeing accounting operations including payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable Directing and preparing financial analyses of operations for guidance by management Producing and reviewing monthly financials with CEO and management team of each location Directing the preparation and consolidation of annual budget Directing the activities concerned with the safekeeping, control and accounting of assets Writing and reviewing proposed contracts for financial viability and corporate liability Preparing financial proformas for all new businesses Preparing weekly profit and loss statements and other financial results with restaurant general managers to initiate action plans as required Monitoring cash flow Work with CPA firms that prepare company taxes and required audits Collaborate with the management team n optimizing technology solutions Assisting in the contractual agreements between all vendors Providing any other assistance as requested by management Educational Experience Prefer MBA Degree or Masters in Accounting Three or more years' experience in management in hospitality or restaurant industry Certification - Certified Public Account (CPA) would be helpful or worked with a CPA firm that prepared company taxes and prepared required audits Skills Required Recognize the need for, and demonstrate, good communication and listening skills with client, customers and employees Promote teamwork and act as a positive role model Be creative and implement new ideas Honesty and integrity Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage time effectively Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and other accounting software programs (including Restaurant 365 or similar ERP's) FDY provides a high-energy growth environment along with a competitive benefits.
