Ray & Son Mechanical (Contractors) is a full-service commercial mechanical contractor serving clients in multiple states. Our team consists of HVAC-R, Plumbing, and Electrical crews. We typically maintain a full-time workforce of 40 to 45 people, depending on our workload at the time. Our staff is very dedicated to what they do and are in it "for the long haul." The average employee has 10 or more years of service with our company. We are looking for Experienced Plumbers to join our team!!!! Plumbing Positions Include: Master plumbers Journeyman plumbers Medical gas installers and brazers Excavation specialists Personality/Culture Fit: We know that without good people working for us, we are nothing. For this reason we always want to talk to potential employees who are passionate about using their plumbing skills for this company and want to continually learn more and improve their expertise. Some specific traits that we look for in potential employees include: Solid work ethic Dependability Honesty Professional customer service skills A strong desire to learn, grow and succeed in the plumbing trade Considerable knowledge of standard tools, methods, and materials of the plumbing trade Ability to read and interpret Blueprints & Specifications Work Hours: 40+ hours per week plus some call and weekend work. Pay Scale: $31-$36/hr DOE. We offer an hourly wage plus the opportunity to earn monthly bonuses! Benefits: Medical (Dental and Vision voluntary), Paid vacation, Paid Holidays, 401k + company match, Cell Phone, Company Uniform, Company iPad, and Vehicle WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING HERE? New plumbing and mechanical systems installation. Our work mostly consists of piping of varying sizes and types. Depending on your experience you don't need to know how to do it all, but you do need to be willing to help or grow wherever necessary. Demo work of existing plumbing systems when necessary. Sometimes our work is renovation. Top candidates may be required to competently read drawings/specs/schematics and provide crew management, including crew layout for up to 6 people. SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS Worked in the commercial plumbing & mechanical trade for 4 years or more knowledgeable with the installation of sanitary, grease waste, indirect/special waste, storm, venting systems, domestic water, plumbing fixtures, and equipment Medical gas certification a plus, not a requirement Can install different piping systems using various materials such as service-weight cast iron, PVC sanitary & domestic water systems, acid waste, no-hub cast iron, sweat & pro-press copper systems, groove piping systems of copper, stainless steel, and carbon steel & fusion piping systems Can lift and carry up to 50lbs Owns all hand tools required to install all the above plumbing systems ( power tools provided by R&S) Willing to work on lifts or scaffolds as needed Encourages the "next generation" and easily shares their knowledge and skills Is organized and clean allowing an efficient work area Reliable transportation The following qualifications are preferred, but not required: A valid plumbing license (tradesman, journeyman, or master plumber) A boiler class 3 certification OSHA 10 training certification or higher. plumber, installer, hvac, journeyman, journeyman plumber, residential service, residential, commercial, install, installation
