Company Overview: The Kenific Group, Inc. (KGI) is a private, small business based in the Washington, DC area. KGI was founded in 2011, initially providing acquisition and supply chain management services to the US Coast Guard. KGI has used this experience to expand our service offerings to other agencies within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the Department of Defense (DoD), and the U.S. Postal Service (USPS). In the past 10 years we have grown our service offerings to include infrastructure resiliency, contact center operations, information technology, software engineering, program management, strategic communications, engineering, and cybersecurity. We have also grown our customer base to include commercial clients. Position Overview: The Kenific Group is seeking a financial analyst to help on both our financial processes and our business development efforts. Candidate must be expert level in use of Excel and have familiarity with government contracting. Candidate must have experience building pricing proposals for federal government RFPs. This includes conducting salary data research, and an understanding of different contract types (FFP, T&M, Cost Plus). Responsibilities: The financial analyst is responsible for analysis of project revenues, bid models and proposals, costs, gross margins, and other financial data by collecting, monitoring, and evaluating data and reporting findings to senior leaders Individual will also have financial research and reporting responsibilities to include preparing reports and presentations Refine and maintain customer bid model(s) to calculate estimated profitability for planned services Monitor and report on variances between estimated and actual revenue and profitability for each customer Assist in the budgeting and forecasting process by gathering and reviewing data Track and analyze data on successful and unsuccessful bids to help inform future pricing decisions Review monthly financial statements to identify potential issues Assist with a variety of ad hoc financial analysis projects Ability to support multiple stakeholders throughout the organization and manage shifting priorities Strong interpersonal and presentation skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to interact effectively at all internal organizational levels Demonstrated professionalism, judgment, and discretion in working with sensitive information Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study (finance, accounting) Two years of experience developing cost pricing models for government contracts Monthly financial reporting Expertise in procurement planning/forecasting Preferred Skills & Experience Secret Clearance Experience developing and implementing innovative procurement process improvements to enhance operational performance Assist with development and implementation of standardized acquisition and procurement templates and briefings, SOPs, best practices and training initiatives for program personnel Location: Position will be hybrid, primarily remote but with ability to meet in our Fairfax Virginia office or other locations in the D.C. metro area as needed.
