Business Unit Information System Security Manager Overview SimTech, Inc., a 2021 and 2020 Best Places to Work Winner, has an immediate need for a Business Unit Information System Security Manager, to join our growing, diverse and dynamic team in Huntsville, AL. Responsibilities Oversee the cybersecurity and network administration for a fast-paced growing business unit to integrate technical objectives with compliance requirements. Serve as the principal advisor regarding information system and processes to senior leadership for business unit. Coordinate with SimTech IT Department regarding SimTech cyber security plan and implementation, assuring compliance with overall CMMC requirements. Monitor and respond to incidents using suite of security tools. Provide recommendations to stakeholders regarding CMMC compliance, including policies, processes, system improvements, and strategies. Communicate long-term information system security plans to posture the organization for sustained growth and ensured compliance. Maintain a working knowledge of system functions, security policies, technical security safeguards, and operational security measures. Evaluate and recommend risk mitigation strategies regarding information system. Govern marking, handling, controlling, removing, transporting, sanitizing, reusing, and destroying media and equipment containing sensitive information. Communicate information security goals and new programs effectively with other senior leaders within the organization. Report IS security incidents to the Facility Security Officer; assuring proper protection or corrective measures have been taken when an incident/vulnerability has been discovered. Interfaces with staff to understand their security needs and oversees the development and implementation of procedures to accommodate them. Responsible for providing training on various security safeguards and regulations and collect any required training data for mandated cybersecurity reporting. Implement, monitor, and ensure organization is compliant with Cybersecurity regulations such as NIST 800- 171, DFARS and CMMC requirements. Participate in community outreach to stay current on changes in regulatory requirements and best practices. Please note this is not a supervisory position. Minimum Qualifications, Education Requirements and Desired Skillsets Bachelors of Science Cybersecurity Information Systems from an accredited institution required. 7-years of experience in IT/IA within DoD environment Significant experience in establishing processes for compliance with NIST 800- 171, DFARS and CMMC requirements. ISACO, CISM. CompTIA Security+ CE. Ability to obtain CISSP certification. Must be a self-starter, team player willing to work with users, integrators, analysts and others in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Must be detail-oriented, goal-oriented and mission-focused. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. U.S. Citizenship with Active Top Secret Security clearance preferred. Ability to maintain the designated security clearance level is required. Physical Description Employees in these positions will function in a general office/cubicle setting environment, laboratory/testing setting using standard office equipment and various electronic testing equipment, including a computer, telephone, printers, video equipment, computer software and testing equipment. Will interact in a general office setting environment with various personnel; participate in meetings and contribute to team success; deliver timely results and produce reports; receive and communicate information; may include telework. May function in a laboratory/testing environment using electronic testing equipment, computer software and complex systems. May move and test equipment of various weights. Laboratory environment may require use of protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to safety glasses and protective hearing and footwear. May be expected to work varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of activities in the organization due to business demands; travel occasionally for assigned work. About SimTech, Inc.
