The Wilcox Companies is a dynamic and rapidly growing employee benefits company that is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Accounting Manager to lead our financial operations. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the business and will play a critical role in supporting our growth strategy. Responsibilities: Manage and oversee the financial operations of the company, including accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis. Ensure compliance with accounting principles, tax regulations, and reporting requirements. Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective operations. Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparation of financial statements and schedules. Develop and monitor the annual budget and forecasting processes. Provide financial analysis and guidance to the senior leadership team to support strategic decision-making. Manage the company's cash flow and working capital, including monitoring accounts payable and receivable. Manage the company's risk management and insurance programs. Oversee the payroll process and ensure compliance with all payroll tax requirements. Work closely with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial information is available to support business operations. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, and a CPA or CMA certification preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, with experience in employee benefits or insurance industry preferred. QuickBooks certification preferred. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, changing environment.
