Road and Bridge Technician- Seasonal/Temporary

ROCKWALL COUNTY Salary : $15/hour Hours : Generally 40 hours per week Position may last up to 6 months. Duties : The Road Technician works under the supervision of the Manager or other designated personnel. Prepares routine operating reports: and vegetation control, assists on patching and bridge crews, sign maintenance, road construction inspection, equipment maintenance, and roadway safety. Performs related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications : Graduation from an accredited high school/GED Program or equivalent experience and a valid Texas drivers license. Physical/Environmental Requirements : Ability to withstand prolonged sitting, standing, bending, squatting, twisting, kneeling, lifting and carrying a minimum of 50 pounds. Must be capable of working in all weather conditions including rainy, cold, icy, snowy, and hot, sunny days. Works during emergency and disaster conditions. Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts: high precarious places; and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work is usually loud.
