Due to our continued growth and expansion into new markets, we are on the search for a detail-oriented Architectural Drafter to join our team! OUR OPPORTUNITY: As an Architectural Drafter for our company, you will be responsible for preparing detailed drawings of architectural designs and plans for a broad range of projects by incorporating exact measurements and codes and entering data to generate 3-D design models. Detailed responsibilities include: Utilizing various software's to produce drawings from pre-design phase through construction administration including developing design sketches, renderings, models, graphics, elevations, and schedules Assisting in ongoing projects to standardize and unify design documents by participating in meetings and preparing renderings and presentation materials as necessary Serving as a critical point for clear communication and coordination between pre-construction, design, and field teams during active projects to ensure accurate and timely completion. Analyzing current building codes, by-laws, and requirements to establish how they affect architectural drawings, while staying up to date on all required and relevant codes Collaborating with architects, engineers, and clients to identify design problems and develop effective solutions Visiting job sites to perform measurements and calculate dimensions Generating scope of work documents along with reviewing and defining budgets Ideal Candidate Qualities Degree in in architectural drafting or related field 5+ Years experience in civil, structural or architectural commercial construction preferred Experience with Revit and AutoCAD Proficient in Microsoft Office software Strong attention to detail and mathematical abilities Demonstrates practical knowledge of building design, specifications, codes, and structural analysis OUR BENEFITS: In addition to awesome co-workers and a great company culture, Valor Contracting offers full-time team members: Competitive wages based on experience 401K retirement plan with company match Health, Dental and Vision insurance plans, with employer premium contributions Health Savings Account (HSA) Paid Time Off (PTO) To learn more about our organization, visit our company website: www.buildwithvalor.com Valor Contracting is an EEO/Affirmative Action/Veteran friendly employer.
