Maintenance Technician

Carestl Health is seeking Maintenance Technician. The following information is considered the definition of essential functions but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. The General Maintenance Technician may be reassigned duties and responsibilities at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other staffing reasons. Oversees the daily general maintenance needs of the health centers inside and outside (i.e. all lighting, changing bulbs, ballasts, as needed, dry wall patching, outside grounds maintenance) Oversees and performs repairs and general maintenance needs to the health center buildings according to work orders or verbal instructions. Identifies and requests parts and components needed to complete tasks. Works with vendors, contractors, and factory representatives in regards to the repair and replacement of equipment. Assists contractors and other personnel with connections and shut-offs for water and fire systems. Performs plumbing, and electrical repairs including, but not limited to: changing light bulbs, replacing ballasts and installation of light fixtures. Performs carpentry and minor construction projects including, but not limited to installation and or repair of drywall, walls, flooring, ceramic tile, cabinetry, ceiling tile, countertops, shelving, and painting. OTHER FUNCTIONS Assists environmental techs when needed in maintaining a clean and safe work environment including, but not limited to: debris/trash removal, heavy lifting/moving of materials and equipment, floor-sweeping and material storage. Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner. Assists stationary engineers when needed for evening work for equipment that requires it. Comfortable working both independently and in small team. JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High School Diploma or GED required Experience: 5 - 7 years experience as maintenance technician required Transportation Requirement: Must have reliable transportation Must be able to travel between sites and bring supplies on an as needed basis 24-hour emergency maintenance service required on an as needed basis (includes carrying cellular phone has required for on-call service) Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Must have experience in all areas of general building maintenance; tile replacement, cove base replacement, painting, minor electrical work, minor plumbing work, minor HVAC work, minor carpentry work, minor tuck pointing work, minor concrete repair, wall papering, and general facilities maintenance. Transportation Requirement: Must have reliable transportation Must be able to travel between sites and bring supplies on an as needed basis 24-hour emergency maintenance service required on an as needed basis (includes carrying cellular phone has required for on-call service) Supervisory Responsibility: None Additional Eligibility Qualifications (licenses, programs, certificates, pre-employment check and post and annual screening(s) Copy of High School Diploma or GED Current Registration with the Missouri Family Care Safety Registry Annual PPD or Chest X-Ray Proof of COVID Vaccination required Additional Information: Clinic hours are Monday - Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. 11 paid holidays per year.
