Character of Position As a Weld Fitter , you will be responsible for fitting, fabricating, and assembling the structural components that make up a tool. Responsibilities Analyze the blueprints to determine the specifications, tolerances, and locate/read the stock list on a drawing Construct structural components from raw materials Use welding equipment to fuse structural components Inspect fabricated components to ensure that they are the correct size Utilizing shears, power saws, cutting torches, and chipper knives to cut structural components as needed Ability to saw, miter, and fit fabrications (fit and tack) Replace damaged or defective structural components as needed Certified in TIG and MIG welding Follow OSHA safety guidelines, and ITAR compliance Other duties as assigned Skills Ability to use hand and power tools Ability to concentrate for extended periods Strong analytical skills Problem solving skills Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills Exceptional welding Experience Proven experience working as a fitter Minimum of 2 years' experience Education High School Diploma or equivalent Benefits Referral Bonus Program Job Development Training Program Great Holiday Schedule 401k Health, Dental, Vision Insurance Flexible Spending Account Life and Disability Insurance Paid Time Off ADP Discounts Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship or Valid Permanent Resident status is required.
