JOB SUMMARY: The IT Systems Analyst provides technical support to SCORE's network, software applications and user systems, as well as planning, implementation, and project management. This position p rovides customer service, training and intermediate to advanced technical support for SCORE's systems and applications, computer and network operating systems, peripheral equipment and telecommunication systems; c ontinuously evaluates SCORE's computer systems for security vulnerabilities and threats; and regularly communicates with both internal and external customers, including vendors, staff employees, contractors, management and executive staff. Our mission is to provide the highest quality public safety services to those we serve. We are dedicated to creating an environment of public trust and excellence through all layers of services. Enhancing the field of corrections with integrity, innovation, and commitment. The IT department is a team of two, and serves about 150 clients using a mixture of desktops and laptops in both wired and wireless settings. The building has extensive surveillance equipment that needs to be maintained on a regular basis. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors' degree in Computer Science or a related field and of three years' experience (6 years' for Senior position) in increasingly responsible information systems positions OR a combination of education, training and experience that provides equivalent background. Must be able to achieve CJIS Level 4 certification shortly after employed. Based on experience, performance levels, and operational needs, this position may be filled at the senior level. Due to the security requirements of a jail, a stringent background investigation is conducted on all candidates considered for hire. This includes fingerprinting, a criminal history check, a polygraph examination, and a medical exam including a drug-screen. THE HOURS: The position is full-time exempt, and generally works Monday through Friday from 8am to 4pm.
