As part of this role, you will: This position requires an advanced knowledge of CPT/ ICD-10, medical and coding terminology, anatomy, disease processes, expected healthcare outcome, prospective payment systems, CDI guidelines and workflows for outpatient. Perform all job functions and responsibilities of an APRN or PA- 2 days with direct patient facing in a clinical setting - 3 days non-patient facing with Clinical Documentation Integrity work. Capture and code validated Hierarchical Conditions (diagnoses) Review and audit patient charts in the EHR for clinical status of patient, current treatment plan, past medical history, & quality measures (e.g. HEDIS, HCC, etc..), and identify potential gaps in documentation. Act as liaison in the HCC's reconciliation process between coding and CDI team members. communicate effectively with outpatient coding teams including insurance payers sources. Actively address reconciliation cases as submitted by CDS, to include HCC'S mismatches prior to bill drop. Collaborate with and educate providers and coding staff to promote complete and accurate clinical documentation. What you need to bring to this role: Current Florida License as either: Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner OR Physician Assistant 3 years' experience as an APRN or PA with CDI improvement projects Current Supervisory Relationship record with the state of Florida 1+ years of CDI experience 3 years' experience as an APRN or PA with CDI improvement projects Current CPR certification **MCR Health is a drug free workplace.
