Activities Coordinator Assistant Intern (Paid Intern) Who We Are: InReach is a recognized leader in providing service to people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities and is recognized by the Council on Quality and Leadership. InReach provides a wide variety of services to adults with Intellectual and/or Developmental Disabilities. We have been serving the Charlotte community since 1974. We Hire : People willing to make a difference in the lives of people with disabilities by providing companionship, care, and support. We Need: Supportive and caring individuals with good verbal communication skills looking for a internship position to work with adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities in a group setting within the Community Works department. Hours are Mon - Fri 8:30a - 3:30p, flexible. Rate: $12.00 per hour, 15-20 hours per week. 4-6 month internship. What You'll Do: Assists with planning, coordinating, implementing, and monitoring programs and events that meet the needs of day support participants. Assists with individual participation. Assists with agency and program functions. Assists with operations. Cares for customers. Respects customers. Assists with the facilitation of access to community resources. Assists with the contribution of team effort. What You'll Bring: Strong verbal skills. Positive outlook. Friendly and Caring demeanor. Willingness to Learn and Grow. Experience helping people with disabilities. Valid Driver's License. High School Diploma.
