Description:
The Automation Controls Technician is integral in developing and troubleshooting automated components. This includes robotic, vision and other motion-control systems. This position provides support to the Hydromat Electrical Assembly and Engineering Departments through design and troubleshooting. The technician will participate in design reviews, design approvals, and runoffs for motion control components. In addition, this individual will develop and edit electrical schematics, make recommendations to improve efficiency, and assist with project installations as needed. This position requires Must have 4+ years of engineering experience in industrial/manufacturing setting Must understand basic NEC codes, programmable logic controllers, AC/DC circuits, three-phase motor circuits Must have a strong working knowledge of Fanuc Robotics including troubleshooting, programming, and integration Must have integration experience with the 30iA and 30iB Fanuc Robotic Controllers Additional experience A working knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office products A working knowledge of NFPA Standards, ISO 9000 requirements Experience with Inventor, Allen-Bradley, and/or General Electric PLC controls is a plus This position requires a first-shift work schedule and up to 25% travel.
