About Hospice of Wichita Falls For over 36 years, Hospice of Wichita Falls has been the only non-profit community-based hospice in the area, providing services in 12 North Texas counties. Our wonderful nursing staff meets our patients and families where they are, private homes, nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, and our free standing 12 bed inpatient center. Your life as a Primary Nights RN Your role is very important to our patients and organization. We meet our patients where they are and this position will serve our patients in Wichita, Archer, Clay, Jack Montague and Young counties. We work as a team so there will be a need to interact with other members of our team to supervise the development of individualized patient plans of care with input from the attending physician and IDT members and monitors the Plan of Care and revises as necessary. Job Qualifications Graduate of an approved school of professional nursing, BSN preferred. Must possess specialized nursing skills related to palliative and end-of-life care. Recipient of a current license by the state Board of Nurse Examiners. Two (2) years of nursing experience in acute care within the last four (4) years preferred. Specialized nursing skills related to palliative and end-of-life care. Ability to be self-directed and function independently and demonstrate leadership ability. Ability to understand the physical, psychosocial and spiritual concerns/problems of terminally ill patients in the home setting. Demonstrate problem-solving skills. Demonstrate understanding of and ability to educate on disease process and expected changes. Ability to relate well with patients, families, community at large and health care professionals. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to be at work as scheduled and alert/awake. Ability to advance in computer knowledge. Demonstrates competency as defined.
