A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN ACCOUNTING MANAGER As an Accounting Manager, you will have a rewarding job doing the following: Support the Agency & VP of Finance in overseeing day-to-day accounting operations and reporting activities, including monthly billing of grant contracts and following up on AR, reviewing transactions and reports prepared by staff, as well as participate in basic accounting operations and reporting. Perform month end close, including preparing journal entries, conducting G/L account analysis and reconciliation, and preparing reports related to contract Manage program financial reporting systems (Blackbaud-Financial Edge): tracks budgets, generates billings, expenditure reports and other reports according to contract requirements & internal program information Prepares actual to budget reports for grant and contract funds, including the analysis of spending variance and forecasts to year end. Reconcile fund development (RE) & financial reporting systems (FE): for contract billings & Monitor all grants and contracts billings to ensure fiscal Special reconciliation of salary & wage allocations to contracts with bi-monthly payroll. Develop cost allocation proposals consistent with regulations and GAAP. QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN ACCOUNTING MANAGER Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Accounting, Finance or related field and minimum 10 years of progressively responsible experience in nonprofit (Fund) Financial Edge (Blackbaud) accounting software experience.
