The team at Woodfords Family Services is growing and currently hiring Teacher's Assistants to join our Early Childhood Preschool Program at Pineland Farms! These positions are full-time (40 hrs.), year-round, and fully-benefitted positions, located at our Developmental Preschool and Special Purpose Private School in New Gloucester, ME! Who We Are Woodfords Family Services is a nonprofit organization that's been committed to the support and inclusion of people with special needs and their families in Maine communities for over 55 years! Today, the organization provides an array of clinical, behavioral health and educational programs to more than 2,000 children, youth and adults living with autism, developmental disabilities, intellectual disabilities and/or mental health diagnoses across the state of Maine. Position Summary As a Teacher's Assistant (Ed Techs I, II, or III) in our Early Childhood Program, you will work directly one-to-one with children ages 3-5 and diagnosed with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities in a therapeutic classroom setting. With oversight and instruction from the Lead Teacher, you will apply the use of evidence-based, early intervention strategies to support students in developing the foundational skills to learn, communicate, and achieve goals with independence! What are the qualifications to become an Ed Tech I, II or III? Ed Tech I - High School Diploma or Equivalent Ed Tech II - Minimum of 60 college credits Associates Degree in a related field preferred. Ed Tech III - Minimum of 90 college credits Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred. Preference given to individuals with a minimum of two (2) years of related experience working with children with intellectual or developmental disabilities. Additional Qualifications Valid driver's license with clean record Personal vehicle and current auto insurance Schedule & Compensation Monday-Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm, Year-Round! $15-18.00/per hour .
