Who You Are : We are currently searching for a Controller to help lead our accounting team. This role is ideal for a driven, collaborative and analytical cost accountant who enjoys rolling up their sleeves in a team-oriented manufacturing environment, optimizing the accounting processes utilizing technology and assessing outcomes to plan and budget for our continued growth and expansion. We've got exciting plans for our future and this role will play a key role in supporting them! What You'll Do : In this role you will be able to jump in and start making an immediate impact. Specifically, you'll: First and foremost, resonate with our guiding principles and mission as an organization Use your 10+ years of related experience and Bachelor's degree (CMA or CPA preferred) in accounting to lead the accounting function, develop accounting policies, procedures, internal controls and provide recommendations to improve overall business performance With both a strategic lens, and passion for detail, you will support a diverse array of projects from origination through final implementation Serve on a cross-functional leadership team providing recommendations to improve productivity and overall business performance Collaborate with Operations and analyze production variances and report to production management staff Accurately and efficiently perform month-end close including reconciliation of accounts, preparation of financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow) and other closing reports Handle all aspects of cost accounting and pricing including oversight of BOMs, development work center rates, creation of routings, and the development of pricing new products and/or new customers Lead annual profit plan development and the development of Business Cases for various projects in the organization Be system minded to help optimize our current ERP system (Sage X3 and SEI experience a plus) Develop and prepare the financial forecasts and utilize your strong analytical skills by building reports and other business analytics Maintain material costing in a FIFO environment, the fixed asset system and CAPEX project review including asset investment proposals, and oversee creation of daily liquidity reports Calculation of customer rebates and sales broker commissions Process daily, weekly and monthly cycle count activity and analyze related variances Utilize your proven record of building a strong team and lead and manage the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable staff while also maintaining strong relationships and supporting the annual review process with external accountants What You'll Get : Besides working with a great team at one of the Nation's Best & Brightest Companies to work for, check out why our people love working at Butterball Farms: Mission-driven company who isn't just focused on growing our company, but growing our people as well Competitive compensation Medical, vision, and dental insurance 401(k) with generous employer match Employee Assistance Program Paid time off 7 Paid Holidays Tuition Reimbursement Volunteer time off Company performance bonuses If you have strong expertise in inventory management, financial planning and analysis, accounting management and team leadership, we encourage you to apply today to be a part of our great team.
