The City of O'Fallon, MO is looking to hire a knowledgeable and dependable Park Maintenance Worker Construction & Concrete. . Our Park Maintenance Workers earn competitive pay with an expected starting rate of $20.94 hourly. As part of our Parks Department, you will be responsible for assisting in the maintenance of City parks. This position primarily works under our Special Projects team. This team spends the majority of the time completing concrete work, repairing playgrounds, fabrication and carpentry work. We are looking for individuals with carpentry/concrete experience who can work a flexible schedule, with varying hours that include weekends, evenings and holidays. During the week, typically hours are M-F from 7am-3:45pm. You can expect to work various hours on weekends to maintain the park system as well as special events and tournaments. As a Parks Maintenance Worker, your duties and responsibilities will include the following, but the hired applicant should expect to spend the bulk of their time pouring/ finishing concrete, asphalt work, fabrication, and carpentry: Mowing and managing non-turf areas. Assisting with minor construction and facility maintenance, including, but not limited to painting, plumbing and carpentry. Cleaning pavilions, parking lots, restrooms and playgrounds, ensuring user safety and enjoyment. Assisting with finishing concrete, asphalt and sidewalk repair. Assisting with the preparation for festivals and special events Assisting with the weekend park maintenance routines. Maintaining park amenities, including painting and repairing tasks. Assisting in snow removal operations during inclement weather. Performing related duties. We're looking for someone who is comfortable operating various equipment, including tractors, skid loaders, concrete saws, excavators and commercial Z turn mowers. This person must also be willing to get dirty and/or wet while they're on the job. Could this be the opportunity for you?
