As a Southlake Orthopaedics Orthotics & Prosthetics Intern , you will be working alongside Southlake's certified staff in a fast-paced orthopaedic clinic and O & P lab. This is a hands-on role providing experience in different stages of the creating and fitting prostheses/orthosis and durable medical equipment. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist in the orthopaedic clinic with the fitting of multiple orthotic bracing items, including but not limited to off the shelf foot orthotics, knee orthoses, spinal orthoses, wrist orthoses, finger orthoses, and cervical orthoses Assist in the prosthetics and orthotics lab manufacturing custom foot orthotics and custom prosthetic sockets Checking patient insurance benefits, calling patients and assisting with the collection of patient payments Job Posted by ApplicantPro
