SUMMARY Performs a variety of administrative functions directly related to supporting human resources activities and supporting the entire employee life cycle which includes orientation, benefits and all other matters from hire to termination. Assists in developing common programs and applying best practices for Talent Development across the organization. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Manages the entire recruiting life cycle for applicants including sourcing candidates. Tracks open positions, prepare monthly reports, post jobs, and maintain all records of job postings, job descriptions, scheduling interviews and all correspondence. Assists in overseeing new employee orientation and on-boarding, counseling, discipline and termination activities. Assists in researching and resolving employee relations problems. Assists in the development and maintenance of employee files in compliance with federal and state regulations. Assists in assuring compliance with FLSA, COBRA, ADA, Wage and Hour, FMLA, and other leave of absence regulations. Assures accuracy of employee data in HRIS. Provides audit trail information for any record changes in systems. Assists in maintaining up-to-date employee handbook and supervisory policy manual. Assists in coordinating staff competency and training activities and annual training plan. Assists in researching, evaluating and implementing internal and external training opportunities. Assists in providing ongoing counsel, training and development to managers and staff. Assists in the success of the Bank's wellness programs and initiatives. Assists in generating regular and special management reports. Assists in responding to employee requests for information, including clarification of Human Resources policies and/or procedures. Provides a wide range of administrative support to the Human Resources Department and manages special projects as necessary. Other duties may be assigned if necessary. QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree and specialized human resources training or equivalent. 1-3 years progressively responsible HR experience preferred. Experience within a financial environment preferred. SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Excellent organizational, analytical, interpersonal, communication, negotiation and computer skills, including at least intermediate word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software expertise. Prior experience with payroll procedures and HRIS software preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to speak effectively and to have formal discussions with applicants and employees of the Bank.
