POSITION SUMMARY Jireh Semiconductor is offering a paid Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Internship in for Summer 2023. This is intended to be a three-month internship on site at our Hillsboro, OR facility. We are looking for a passionate, driven student who would like the opportunity to learn more about EHS in the Semiconductor Manufacturing Industry. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Gather and analyze data or information, provide input to, and prepare various documents (e.g., develop procedures, reports, calculations). Participate in EHS inspections of work areas. Perform technical analysis of data and apply effective analytical and problem-solving skills to complex problems. Perform or assist in assessments of EHS program areas. Perform other duties as assigned. PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT Regularly required to sit or stand and move around the facility in both industrial areas as well as a class 100 clean room. REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Must be a college or university student pursuing an undergraduate degree in Engineering (e.g., Chemical, Environmental, Civil), Physical Sciences (e.g., Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science), industrial hygiene, occupational safety or equivalent program. Undergraduate and graduate students will both be considered. Preference will be given to those attending school in Oregon. OTHER QUALIFICATIONS Prefer strong Microsoft Excel skills. Must have strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong ownership and passion for success. Ability to work with people one on one and in a team environment.
