Always Bagels, Original Bagel, Dutch Maid and Hometown Foods USA, together, create a market leading producer of authentic New York style kettle-boiled, hearth-baked bagels and high quality cake products sold into the in-store bakery, club store, foodservice, and convenience store channels. Always Bagels, has an excellent opportunity for a experienced Forklift/HILO/Hi-Reach in shipping and receiving department for the 1st shift (8am to 4pm), in our Bohemia, NY facility. Job Responsibilities: Work with freezer and dry conditions (HiLO/Hi-Reach). Pick pallets in freezer. Load pallets on trucks. Able to complete paperwork, documents pull, confirm order etc. Maintain inventory. Maintain clean work area. Duties/Responsibilities: Must have a minimum of 3 to 5 years experience. Must have a valid forklift certification and experience on a HILO Hi-Reach industrial truck. Effectively communicate in Spanish and English both verbal and written is preferred. Strong quality and safety experience. Strong teamwork skills. Work in fast-paced environment. Material handling - Inventory experience. Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is expected to see, hear, remaining in a stationary position often standing or sitting for prolonged periods. Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another. Communicating with others to exchange information. Use hands and fingers to handle objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms. Stoop kneel and bend. Exposure to environmental changes (heat, cold, dampness, chemicals) in the plant Working conditions; manufacturing environment requiring strict work/safety rules approximately 100% of the time Carry up to 50 pounds FOOD Safety Responsibilities Support Quality Assurance Manager by verifying employee compliance to HACCP, GMP's, SOP's SSOP's and Safety procedures within all plant processing area.
