Tribute Baking Company is the strategic combination of four businesses with rich histories in the baking industry! Always Bagels, Original Bagel, Dutch Maid and Hometown Foods USA, together, create a market leading producer of authentic New York style kettle-boiled, hearth-baked bagels and high quality cake products sold into the in-store bakery, club store, foodservice, and convenience store channels. Reporting to the shift supervisor, the production associate on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts will work in a fast-paced team environment and lift up to 50lbs. The production associates are needed in our dough, oven and freeze pack departments. Hours are 8AM to 4PM, 4PM to 12AM, 12AM to 8AM. We work weekends. Production workers operate various machines to mix, bake and package our bagels . Job Responsibilities: Effectively communicate in Spanish and English both verbal and written is preferred although not required. Demonstrates teamwork. Stand 7.5 hours within designated work area (2ft radius) Ability to continuously lift no more than 50 lbs. The work schedule is up to 6 days/week including weekend work. Sat/Sun is part of the schedule. (depending on the department needs). The Production Associate is based in our Bohemia, NY location. Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is expected to see, hear, remaining in a stationary position often sitting for prolonged periods. Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another. Communicating with others to exchange information. Use hands and fingers to handle objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms. Stoop kneel and bend. Exposure to environmental changes (heat, cold, dampness, chemicals) in the plant Working conditions; manufacturing environment requiring strict work/safety rules approximately 100% of the time FOOD Safety Responsibilities Support Quality Assurance Manager by verifying employee compliance to HACCP, GMP's, SOP's SSOP's and Safety procedures within all plant processing area.
