The Family & Community Partnership Director is responsible for the overall planning and coordination of the Head Start Family Services and Parent, Family and Community/School Readiness Engagement components of the Head Start Performance Standards. Qualifications : Bachelors Degree in Social Work/Human Services or related degree Experience in Human Services field. Preferably a minimum of one year's experience in administration and supervision. An understanding of the needs of low-income families. Proficient computer skills. Responsibilities : • In conjunction with Site Supervisor, interview and support supervise of Family Workers. Conduct monthly Center visits at minimum.• Develop and facilitate onboarding and job-related training for the Family Services department.• Coordinate implementation of the Program's Parenting Curriculum and other training in conjunction with Mental Health Consultant.• Support family services staff in utilizing the data system MyHeadStart/Go Engage.• Prepare and maintain statistics and records for the Family Services and Parent, Family and Community/School Readiness Engagement components.• Establish and maintain an ongoing relationship with those community agencies that offer resources and services needed by Head Start/Early Head Start families.• Stay informed about community needs and about current practices in serving low-income, at-risk families.• Engage in and monitor family needs assessment.• Develop resources in education, employment and job-training programs for the Head Start/Early Head Start population.• Act as a Family Services liaison/point person for all staff including the development of education and training resources.• Assure implementation and compliance with all aspects of the Performance Standards and the OCFS regulations as it relates to family services and family services staff.• Organize and support the development of the Parent Policy Council.• Monitor attendance on enrolled children. Follow-up with family workers on irregular or unexplained absences of children.• Assist with the planning and implementation of parent engagement activities in all areas of the program, as developed by Head Start parents.• Maintain and update the written Family and Community Partnership plans with input from staff, parents, Policy Council, and professional consultants.• Coordinate the annual self-assessment of the Family Services/Parent Engagement components.• With the Health Services Director, recruit and coordinate community members and parents for the Health and Family Services Advisory Board.• Coordinate and oversee the implementation of all aspects of Eligibility, Recruitment, Selection, Eligibility and Attendance (ERESEA) in alignment with the Head Start Program Performance Standards. • Assist Directors as needed.• Be an advocate and spokesperson for Early/Head Start families.• Attend all staff and management meetings, appropriate center team planning sessions, case conferences, and Policy Council meetings, and all appropriate trainings.• Perform any other related responsibilities as designated by the Assistant Program Director.
